Most people
, men and women alike, would have enough sense not to show up on a first date wearing sloppy, wrinkled clothing; having unkempt hair, bad breath or reeking with body odor; or, having nothing to say because they know little to absolutely nothing about the person they want to get to know. There’s a name for someone like this.LOSER.and they’ll rarely, if ever, succeed at the dating game.


Online dating is a fantastic way to meet and get to know someone without having to worry about a lot of the challenges an offline date would present. However
, just because folks can anonymously browse online dating profiles and communicate with others in the comfort of their home – wearing worn-out warm-ups.unshaven.unclean.basically at their unpresentable worst – most people still blow it and come across as someone to avoid because they don’t take the time to create a profile that paints a picture of themselves that conveys their true qualities: Confident, Loyal, Adventurous, Smart, Adores Kids, Loves Pets, Sports Fan.or a hundred other things. Why is that?


Biggest Problem #1:


Your online username and profile headline fail to convey who you are and what you’re looking for. But.be too vague and you’ll attract a bunch of time-wasters. (You’re going for quality here.not quantity.) Be too laser-focused and you’ll narrow the number of interested members down to almost nothing.


Biggest Problem #2:


Your profile photo simply stinks. It’s out of focus
, it’s obviously posed, you’re not smiling, you took a picture of yourself in the mirror and everyone can see the camera flash in your upraised hand, it’s not even a picture of you but that of a flower.or animal.or some other non-human avatar. Actually, a proper set of photos (yes, more than one) will skyrocket your exposure and contact rate by as much as 15 times.


Biggest Problem #3:


Your profile is so skimpy and boring that even the best username and a photo of you from your photo shoot with Sports Illustrated or Vogue aren’t enough to entice anyone to bother contacting you. There are definite attributes you should include in your profile that will attract potential matches like moths to a flame. Yet, a majority of the other members either don’t know about them or are too lazy to do it right. In the first case
, that’s good because it eliminates a lot of your competition and makes you stand out. In the second case, that’s good too because it immediately eliminates from consideration those who aren’t really serious about finding a serious relationship online.


Biggest Problem #4:


You choose the wrong online dating site. Get too picky (example: AsianBBW’sWithAttitude) and you’re selection pool is very shallow. Join a site that requires a membership fee to get started and you you’re out a good chunk of change if you don’t like the site. The best advice is to join multiple sites that have a free sign-up or free introductory period so you have time to look around and determine if you want to go ahead a pay for a full membership and begin the serious task of finding the love of your life.
